If you don’t have a direct path to healing and overcoming—you may risk feeling stuck without the tools to rebuild your life.
If you don’t know where to start or how to start your healing journey or know what it should look like, you could spend years, even decades spinning your wheels-not making the progress you desire.
It’s time you finally understand that there is a place, a path, to get you educated and implement new life skills specific to your experience.
Are You Ready?
Welcome
You don’t believe healing is possible.
You have already tried, maybe a few times, and it didn’t work.
You fear you will not be able to deal with feeling emotionally overwhelmed.
You believe your past is a private matter and have not told anyone and have never reached out for help.
You feel paralyzed with shame.
You believe healing is possible but you don’t know how.
It provides a real lasting way to change and heal.
— heal CLIENT
but guess what...
Not sure where to go. Not sure what ‘a healing path’ looked like. Wondering if healing was even possible. When I was searching it felt like a maze of confusion. I read books, met with many therapists trying to find a good fit, attended support groups, and went to meetings on personal growth. But none of them seemed to help me to feel like there was a ‘way’ to heal. Instead it felt like this issue would be with me forever.
But, I was not going to quit looking. It became my focus to find a way. I didn't like how I felt and was going to do whatever it took.
I finally found a therapist who specialized in my type of childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and my life changed. If I had found her sooner, I would have saved years of searching.
So, I promised after raising my children I would further my education and research and create a program that would cover the core topics survivors go through. I wanted a safe place for you to come and heal - saving you years of researching and being confused to being able to spend more time being present, fulfilled, and enjoying life sooner!
Ultimately, it means your life will change and no one likes change even if it sounds like it will provide a better life because we doubt our own abilities to do the work. You may believe healing will hurt. AND, if you have been hurt a lot - you don’t want to be hurt anymore.
So, you rationalize that staying put (aka - staying stuck) is a safer bet.
The idea of confronting past traumas can feel unbearable. You may worry that facing these memories will retraumatize you rather than bring relief. Not understanding that there is help and coping tools to tap into.
Here’s a little more info on what could be holding you back…
Healing requires vulnerability, whether with oneself or in a safe, supportive environment. You may have faced betrayal or harm from those you trusted, and find it difficult to lower your defenses.
Trauma can become an identity or a familiar space, no matter how painful. The prospect of change, even for the better, can feel destabilizing. You may fear losing unhealthy coping mechanisms or even relationships tied to your trauma because you are used to living with it for so long.
These fears create a sense of paralysis, making the journey to healing seem overwhELming or impossible.
Fear of Healing: At its core, arises from years of avoiding or suppressing your pain including:
For survivors of trauma, especially sexual abuse, the journey to healing often involves doubt, fear, and uncertainty.
Despite the universal longing for inner peace and feeling restored, you may find yourself hesitating to embrace the healing process.
The reasons are multi-dimensional BUT rooted in the complex nature of trauma and its lingering effects.
The problem is, you could see healing as an abstract, unattainable concept, UNAWARE that a structured path exists. Addressing these fears and perceptions is crucial to empowering you as a survivor to embark on your journey toward recovery.
For many, the concept of healing is difficult to grasp. It feels like an abstract idea, an unattainable goal that others talk about but cannot describe in ‘practical’ terms.' There are several reasons that can can contribute to this perception:
For many, the concept of healing is difficult to grasp. It feels like an abstract idea, an unattainable goal that others talk about but cannot describe in ‘practical’ terms. There are several reasons that can can contribute to this perception:
Many people are unaware of structured approaches to healing. While you might hear about therapy, support groups, or self-help resources, you may not see how these fit together to address the multidimensional nature of your trauma. Without a clear map, healing feels vague and fragmented.
Trauma can affect you physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. This complexity makes it difficult to envision a single process that could encompass all these aspects. You may feel your past experience is too deep or varied for any one solution to address.
Society often portrays healing as either a quick fix or an unattainable goal. These unrealistic beliefs and expectations can leave you feeling inadequate or hopeless when your healing process does not match these messages.
Why Healing Feels Abstract.
Why Healing Feels Abstract
Contrary to your fears and misconceptions, there is a path to healing—one that is comprehensive, intentional, and attainable. Healing is not about erasing the past but about transforming your relationship with it and feeling whole. It involves learning to reclaim your sense of agency, self-worth, and hope for the future.
Healing is Multifaceted: A true healing path acknowledges the complexity of trauma. It integrates emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual components, recognizing that your needs are unique.
Healing is Step-by-Step: Rather than being an abstract goal, healing is a series of achievable steps. From learning to set boundaries and trusting one’s perceptions to feeling whole or addressing deep-seated emotions–each step builds on the last.
It’s Hard to Heal Alone: You do not need to navigate this journey alone. My course offers resources tailored to provide guidance and support along the way.
you need to believe that such a path exists and that it is accessible to you. This begins with education and compassionate communication.
of others who have walked the path successfully and understand that healing is not linear but deeply personal.
that provides a clear, structured, and survivor-focused approach that simplifies the healing journey while empowering you with confidence and understanding. I promise it is worth the search.
AND, that’s where I come in. I can help you cut down on your research time.
for you to embrace healing

Together, we address complex emotions like anger, intimacy, and forgiveness, while helping you establish healthy relationships and reestablishing your relationship with faith in a higher power. My course empowers you to heal and embrace life after abuse with confidence and resilience.
In this stage, you will start to understand that healing is possible, and that healing is a choice. People in this stage may or may not have already started on a path to healing and were unable to finish the journey or they do not know how to finish the journey. All they know is that they want to heal, are learning it is possible, and are willing to reach out for help.
In this stage you are learning what abuse is, the types of abuse you experienced and the negative effects it has had on your life. You are learning about the culture of abuse and victim blaming as well as understanding the importance of believing in your own perceptions and listening to your inner voice. You may or may not still be in denial but are understanding its destructive power. You are also learning about the grooming process of the abuser and starting to have a clearer understanding that the abuse was not your fault.
In this stage, you are learning the abuse was not your fault. You are experiencing a lessening of the shame, self-blame and self-guilt and how breaking the silence is a powerful healing force. You are learning your worth is not predicated on the abuse and are overcoming feeling broken or damaged and that you are worthy of self-love and love from others.
In this stage, you are learning how to express your anger appropriately after abuse and how to stop suppressing your emotions. You are learning how to trust again and who to trust and how to set healthy boundaries. You are also learning that the sexual abuse has affected your understanding of sexuality and intimacy. You are learning how to overcome and regain control of your body and how to set healthy intimacy boundaries.
LET'S BREAK it DOWN
In this stage you are exploring reestablishing a relationship with your higher power or discovering a new one. You are gaining a clear understanding of what forgiveness is and that it is to free you of your past. You are learning that better possibilities are within your grasp, gaining a higher sense of inner belief, and learning that you have a purpose and how to tap into your potential.
The HEAL Course consists of 5 stages that include 14 sessions covering core topics specific to survivors.
You don’t get new results if you don’t get educated on what you experienced. Otherwise you stay stuck with the knowledge you have not realizing there are better ways to respond to your past.

A coach and a therapist can play distinct roles when it comes to working with survivors of trauma, abuse, or sexual abuse, although there can be some overlap in certain situations.
Therapists are mental health professionals who are trained to diagnose and treat psychological disorders. They have in-depth knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions to address trauma, including sexual abuse. Therapists can help with suicide ideations, PTSD, and other diagnosable conditions. Therapists use evidence-based interventions for those with
psychological disorders such as CBT and EMDR.
Coaches, on the other hand, typically specialize in guiding individuals toward achieving specific goals and enhancing personal development. Coaches are trained to provide emotional support and education. Coaches possess knowledge about trauma and abuse, and typically focus on providing guidance, motivation, and accountability in achieving personal goals. Coaches help
survivors build resilience, rebuild self-worth and relationships, overcome intimacy issues, and create action plans for moving forward in their lives. Coaches tend to adopt a more goal-oriented and action-focused approach, helping survivors set objectives, identify obstacles, and develop strategies to overcome them. They may provide tools and resources for personal growth.
Ultimately, the specific needs and preferences of the survivor of trauma will guide the decision on whether to seek support from a coach, therapist, or a combination of both.
Deep inside many may feel they really can’t heal or overcome these effects and if that is you, then it’s time to invest in you. Overcoming the effects of abuse is possible. It happens in stages. With abuse affecting so many areas of your life, it can feel overwhelming. But with the right help and education that specializes in your issue, healing is possible and to live a life with purpose - tapping into your potential.
Survivors of trauma respond to their abuse differently. But it is important to note that the abuse can affect all areas of your life from making decisions and knowing who to trust. It affects whether you will carry the burden of the secret alone and battle with low self-worth. It can affect ‘what’ you accept in relationships and how you set boundaries.
Many survivors get used to feeling ‘less than’ or living a sub-par life or settling for abusive or unfulfilling relationships. Many feel they went to therapy a few times or read a few books or listened to podcasts and feel that was enough - not recognizing how their life is still affected. Their relationships might continue to be abusive or unhealthy, or they cannot connect with other people or have intimacy issues. They can’t hold a job or find themselves fighting with co-workers. If you can relate, then now is the time to invest in YOU!
Ultimately though, I know that taking a leap into the unknown can be scary which is why HEAL® -There is Life After Abuse® was created. Join me on a journey to healing and overcoming and living a life of purpose!
All Alumni of any of my courses or exclusive group or individual coaching can join The HEAL Membership where I teach a new webinar each month, interview guests, answer your questions with our live Q&As, and teach new skills for ongoing support.

You may not believe you are worth it or if the HEAL Process can bring you closer to the life you want. Is 1 hour of your time worth attending the first session to try it out? I think it is.
